We first appointed Matt when we were looking to split our previous business and commence trading with SAPD limited in 2009. We needed hands-on advice during this period where things were moving and changing very quickly. Matt and his team provided this and more.
Following the settling down of our new business, it was apparent that our business needed financial and strategic guidance from within and we approached Matt to become full-time FD. During his time with us as FD we successfully opened companies in Dubai and Hong Kong to assist with our international operations. We completely restructured the warehousing side of our business and negotiated complex contracts with large international Blue Chip companies. Matt was integral to these developments.
Within Matt’s tenure as FD, the systems he implemented enabled him to move back into practice on his own. We were the first to look to appoint his practice and still he remains an invaluable part of our business.
As well as regular compliance work and financial reporting, Matt’s real value to us is as a sounding board for almost all key decision be it staffing, operational or strategic. He becomes fully involved as and when we need it, as though we are his only client at that time.
